Is is possible to substite yellow bean paste for Miso? as i can’t find it…?

i’m cooking a vietnamese beef stew, flavoured with chinese 5 spice and yellow bean paste. however, I can’t find yellow bean paste. I have bought some Miso paste in the hope that this will be a suitable substitue. What do you think?

I believe you can, you might even like the taste better.
