Is there a difference between rice sticks and rice noodles?

I decided to learn Thai cooking this summer. The recipe I am making tonight calls for rice noodles but all I have is rice sticks. I’m wondering if I could substitute them instead of rice noodles or if they are close to the same thing. They look alike to me but I need to know the difference.

They’re the same thing, may be some are in different shape.
Rice stick is Rice noodle made into sticks.
They’re called SenMii (เส้นหมี่).
