Japanese food recipes?
okay i was wanting to know a good japanese recipe other than the three minute ramen in every store. I wanted a noodle recipe that you need to make by hand…everything except the noodles o.o
I guess anything would work really. maybe a soup made with beef. all i can seem to find is Sushi
I’m going to make it for a friend and her family as a suprise. It might be the last time we see each other for a while and I wanted to show them how much i cared.
PLEASE HELP!! MOST RECIPIES WILL DO!!!
Tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlets)
4 boneless pork loin cutlets (about 2 oz ea.) – pounded thin

Chicken Sukiyaki (or beef, shrimp, etc.)
1 oz dried shitake mushrooms
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 12 oz)
1/2c thinly sliced onion
1/2c green onions cut in 2″ pieces
1 bunch watercress
4 oz tofu cubed (tastes really good if you fry it first)
4 oz bamboo shoots
1 oz cellophane noodles, soaked
2 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
3/4c chicken stock
1/4c Japanese soy sauce
3 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp sake
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1. Combine stock, soy sauce, sugar, ginger and sake. Set aside.
2. In large skillet or griddle, stir fry chicken until golden, move to side of skillet.
3. Add onions and brown them. Add mushrooms, bamboo shoots, noodles, waterdress and tofu, keeping each ingredient separate on the skillet.
4. Drizzle sauce over all ingredients. Simmer until all ingredients are cooked.
5. Serve directly in the skillet.
Note: This dish is known as the “friendship dish” because it is meant to be eaten from the skillet in a group. Because all of the ingredients are kept separate, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
